AdbokaSining is the advocacy component of PILCD that utilizes art as a medium and a means to affect social change.
It is based on the belief that art and popular media has the power to touch people and awaken their consciousness; and that artistic creation and creative expression is a political catalyst to inform, educate and facilitate peoples participation in social change.
RECESS tells the story of two school children and their daily struggle to go to school everyday. RECESS won the Feature Category of the 2009 Cine Indie for the MDG's, a national short film competition on the Millennium Development Goals sponsored by the Forum for Family Planning and Development and the UNFPA.
For Madam is a 24 minute film that narrates the complex struggle of community teachers who are dedicated to reach those who cannot access education through formal schools, while they themselves are striving to conquer their own economic challenges.
